This privacy policy explains what ShopCity collects and how that information is used to operate a local marketplace, delivery network, rewards system, and payment flow.

Information we collect
- Account details such as name, username, email, phone number, role, city, country, and profile photo where provided.
- Merchant details such as business name, address, categories, storefront photos, payout details, and product listings.
- Order, cart, message, support, wallet, reward, return, refund, and delivery records created while using the platform.
- Location information you enter manually or allow through GPS so ShopCity can show nearby merchants, products, banners, and delivery options.
How we use information
- To create accounts, display local marketplace content, process orders, coordinate pickup or delivery, and provide support.
- To calculate cashback, draw entries, merchant balances, delivery fees, settlements, and payouts.
- To improve safety, detect abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce ShopCity policies.
- To send service updates such as order progress, payment status, support replies, reminders, and account notices.
Payments
Online payments and mobile-money collection flows are processed through approved payment providers such as Flutterwave. ShopCity stores transaction references, payment status, amounts, currency, and verification records, but does not store full card details or mobile-money PINs.
Who can see information
- Customers can see their own account, wallet, messages, rewards, and order records.
- Merchants can see order and message details needed to fulfill their own orders and respond to customer requests.
- Delivery agents and city managers can see delivery details required to complete or supervise assigned orders.
- Admins can access platform records needed for support, security, refunds, settlements, payouts, compliance, and operations.
Data retention
ShopCity keeps operational records for as long as needed to run the marketplace, resolve disputes, comply with financial and legal obligations, prevent fraud, and maintain accurate accounting history.
Your choices
- You can update basic profile and location details from your account where the app allows it.
- You can contact support to ask about account access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions.
- Some records, especially payments, orders, settlements, disputes, and legal records, may need to be kept even after an account is closed.
Security
ShopCity uses role-based access controls, Supabase authentication, database policies, and server-side payment verification to protect sensitive data. No system is perfect, so users should keep their login details private and report suspicious activity quickly.

Contact ShopCity support from your account menu or visit the support page. If a matter involves an order, include the order number, merchant name, delivery method, photos where relevant, and a clear explanation of what happened.
